Ravenheart Equine Assisted Learning Centre & Retreat Creating safe, nurturing spaces for personal growth and wellness through equine-facilitated programs. Why Horses? Connie Kaldor (Love, Saskatchewan)

We have a deep passion for helping others feel seen and heard, particularly children and sensitive individuals, by integrating horse, nature & art. About Ravenheart Equine-Assisted Learning & Retreat Centre

Ravenheart Farms, located just 15 minutes from Kamsack, Saskatchewan, is a place of healing, growth, and self-discovery. Owned and operated by Carol Marriott, a **Certified Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator, Ravenheart offers equine-facilitated wellness, life coaching, and personal development retreats in a peaceful, nature-based setting. Nestled on 105 acres of woodland and prairie, Ravenheart is just 10 minutes from Duck Mountain Provincial Park, making it an ideal retreat for reconnecting with nature, horses, and yourself. What We Offer

At Ravenheart, we partner with horses to support individuals, families, and groups in developing self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being. Our programs include:

✅ **Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) & Equine-Facilitated Wellness** – No riding involved, just meaningful, on-the-ground interactions with horses. Sessions help participants explore emotions, build confidence, and gain new perspectives in a supportive environment.

✅ Personal & Professional Development Retreats – Experience transformative workshops such as Starstruck, The Gentle Way With Horses, The Ravenheart Way, Care for the Caregiver, The Zen of Art & Horses, and Saturdays at the Barn (for youth 9–12). Custom-designed mini-retreats are also available.

✅ **Life Coaching & Grief Support** – Whether facing personal challenges, career transitions, or grief and loss, Carol provides compassionate, trauma-informed coaching to help clients move forward. Sessions are available in person, online, or by phone.

✅ Rustic Retreat Accommodations – Stay in one of our cozy heritage log cabins, explore nature trails and wetlands, and enjoy nourishing meals while immersing yourself in the healing power of horses and nature. Horses are highly intuitive and respond to our energy, emotions, and body language. Their feedback is clear, honest, and non-judgmental, making them incredible partners in personal growth and healing. Whether you're seeking stress relief, personal insight, or simply a deeper connection to yourself, Ravenheart provides a safe, welcoming space to explore new possibilities. About Carol Marriott

🧡 Every Child Matters.

Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we remember the Indigenous children who never returned home from residential schools. We honour Survivors, their families, and communities, and acknowledge the harm that continues across generations.

Every child deserves to grow up safe and loved, connected to their family, culture, language, and community. Every child deserves to know that who they are matters.

Today, we pause to remember. We make space for truth, grief, and reflection, while honouring the strength, resilience, and living cultures of Indigenous peoples.

Our commitment is to keep listening, seek guidance, and build respectful relationships through our everyday actions, today and throughout the year.

🧡 Every child matters. Their voices, their identities, their futures.

Through a Wwoofer's Eyes

Thank you Eva! It was a pleasure to host you here at Ravenheart, under soggy conditions, during farm house renovations, and with somewhat distracted and stressed hosts due to major flooding in our area on June 30th, and the many daily details and disruptions of a rebuild.

You handled everything with grace, courage, and willingness. We appreciate your care of the animals and the variety of other projects we tackled in your 3 week stay!

Eva chose Saskatchewan and Ravenheart Farms for her first visit to Canada, arriving from France in early September.

In addition to helping us around the farm, she left us with the beauty of her creativity with this video, a beautiful embroidery of our sweet Sugar, and a freshly painted welcome sign for our front gate.

Thank you Eva. We wish you all the best as you travel on seeing more of Canada. We'll look forward to the beauty you will capture with your camera on your next adventure!

Monday Wisdom from the Dogs of Ravenheart

Meet Django—The Lion King. 🦁🐾

Django once belonged to our dear friend Saskia. When she passed away, he, and several of the animals she loved, became part of the Ravenheart family.

Now older and moving a little more slowly, Django still carries himself with quiet dignity. He doesn’t need to hurry, prove himself or make a lot of noise. He simply finds his place, watches the world awaken, and reminds us that presence can be powerful. He loves a short romp, many scruffly up pats, and treats.

Perhaps Django’s Monday message is:
You don’t have to rush into the week.
Find your place. Take in the view. Remember who you are, and begin from there.

Those we love remain part of us in so many ways.

Be Kind • Be Curious • Be You

Beautiful photo by James.

Our horses on high alert this morning. I thought it was the bear we saw at end of our road last night. No, it was 6 stray horses. Beautiful horses if anyone is looking. They have been running loose in the area for a while. Happy Sunday!
