Labour Day Weekend Events:

Saturday, September 5 from 8:30am - 1pm: I'll be at the Penticton Farmers Market at my usual place across from Freeride Boardshop.

Sunday, September 6 from 9am - 1pm. Big Market 'Extravaganza' at the Summerland Sunday Rotary Market run by Rotary Club of Summerland. I'll be bringing special items for those in need.

Post Disaster: How to Be Kind:

1) Be attentive
2) Listen, more than talk
3) Always ask permission before offering a hug
4) Don't take anything personally, especially if the person you are engaging with has gone through a lot
5) Pray/dance/remember: in any way that works for you
6) Smile
7) Open a door and hold it open
8) Be open to help, but only if that is what the other person really needs
9) Don't assume anything
10) Avoid negativity

oh, and be kind.

It really isn't that hard to do.

UPDATE:
Due to an unforunate ankle accident (running up some wobbly stairs, second time this week...lol), I am going to postpone the event until SUNDAY, AUGUST 23 from 11am - 3pm at impactfull zero-waste refillery & pantry

Thank you, Vince Freeborn, for having me on your show, Still Current, which aired at 8am today on Peach City Radio.

The show was recorded on Monday, and indicated that I will be at the Penticton Farmers Market tomorrow, August 22.

HOWEVER, due to the 'extremely hazardous' air quality in Summerland, I have decided NOT to be outside that long.

Instead, I WILL be at impactfull zero-waste refillery & pantry at 309 Main Street downtown Penticton from 11-3 on Sunday, August 23. I will be there to answer questions, sell my own products, and offer some FREE services (including special care packages) to those in NEED who were affected by the Summerland Wildfire. If you have donations toward the free care packages, they can be delivered to the store that day or any day that they are open.

Please stay safe and if you MUST work or go outside, get one of those N-95 masks. The hospital masks are NOT SUFFICIENT for this type of situation!

We evacuated Summerland last night around 1:30 am with family and pets.

Wasn't able to bring any of my herbal apothecary beyond basic first aid and nervines for panic.

Staying positive about everything for the sake of the kids. But is scary...scariest thing ever in my life.

Going to evacuation centre now to find out about registering. Online not working for me.

Sending prayers and blessings to all the families, animals (wild and pets and livestock), all the waters, all the plants...Asking the Fire and Water Elementals for their help! Big thanks to all the brave firefighters and helpful people...so much outpouring of love and acts of kindness to the people of Summerland. Blessings to all of you!

Looking forward to attending my first Rotary Club of Summerland Sunday Market of the year. I'll be by Replenish Refillery & Zero Waste Store, as Angela carries a lot of my products and is my 'Summerland pick up' place for orders in town.

I'll be able to share a bit about upcoming herbal medicine making classes starting in August.

Happy to be back in town and harvesting/processing as much as possible.
I'll be at the Penticton Farmers Market this Saturday (across from FREERIDE BOARDSHOP) 8:30am - 1pm, as well as the Summerland Rotary Sunday Market in downtown Summerland (Main Street). That booth will be right by my fave Replenish Refillery & Zero Waste Store.
Due to my fam vacation, I'm working hard to blend & package as many of my products that I make, but time is running short and I'm a one-woman show also harvesting for my community!

Let me know if there is something in particular you need so I can try to prioritize that.
