THANK YOU!!! We are so so happy and grateful for these past 4 years and so proud of ourselves for running a successful small business in Summerland. It was so much more than that and we got to meet so many kind people apart of our community. We will definitely miss this chapter and we wish you all nothing but the best. 🌱💖

So what's next?
We are both moving to Victoria, BC and of course will still be living life as creative people. We're going to take a much deserved break, and then we are both leaning more towards doing tattooing as guest artists so we can catch up on all the travelling we missed out on while being in Summerland. I'll include both of our contact information if you have any questions, want to follow along on our next chapter, or join our guest spot email lists. I'm sure we will be back in the Okanagan in the future so this isn't a "goodbye", but just a "until next time".

Find us here:
Alex: Alex Casper on Instagram and [email protected]
Dea: Deanna Smith on Instagram and [email protected]
Our website sproutedbeanstattoo.com will be up for the next two months or so, and then we will have our own individual websites which will have all of our own information. We will be deleting Facebook but leaving our Sprouted Beans Instagram page up for you to look back on our online portfolio, and going forward will post our new work on our respective Instagram profiles.

P.S: A special thank you to those who helped us out behind the scenes: Brian our office manager, Erin our bookkeeper and Angella Dykstra our CPA. We started this adventure not really knowing how to run a business and we were able to learn so much and will keep these skills forever! We couldn't have done this without you!

Eternally grateful,
-The Bean Team 🌱💖✨

A few lovely pieces for a wonderful client of mine who wants to live her best whimsical life while tying in some deeply personal details and references to her Métis heritage. I had so much fun with all 3 of these! 🥰

While working on the fairy she told me a story that someone chased her down in Walmart to look at her Phoenix tattoo on her calf. I love that so much. 😂

What’s the first Studio Ghibli movie you watched? 👀
As a kid, we watched Totoro all the time and I didn’t realize there was a whole amazing Studio Ghibli world until 2017 ish when my mentor Purtalic Tamakai Lahncey let me borrow their CD set!! I can’t believe I waited that long to watch them, so good!!

I also added two other tattoo projects I’m working on again this month! 😍

If you didn’t know our studio is closing this month and our last day tattooing is September 23rd. I still have a few small openings left and I’ll be posting about our Hobbit/LOTR flash day on September 22nd. I’m finishing up one last flash piece before posting all available flash.

Our goodbye party is September 25th 12-6pm, see our post for details. The following day from 9am-2pm will be our clear out sale! We hope to see you there!!
