This chakra is associated with the element of air and the color green. Air disperses and integrates spiritual understanding of love, compassion, and connection to everything you encounter. Air, like love, is within and all around us. We can embody this element by keeping our heart center open and our love free flowing.
If it is blocked or closed off, you may have feelings of loneliness, emotional detachment, fear of intimacy, trouble forming healthy relationships, inability to forgive or release past hurts, difficulty trusting others and jealousy. These imbalances can block our ability to feel love.
One of the most effective ways to open and balance the Heart chakra is through yoga poses that target the chest and upper body like camel pose, bridge pose, cobra pose, bow pose and the wheel pose. Also, walking bare foot on grass, the sand or rocks, or standing in water.
Crystals can also be a great way to deepen the heart chakra healing process like - green aventurine, green calcite, rhodochrosite, amazonite and malachite. You can place these crystals on your chest during meditation, wear them as jewelry, or keep them close throughout your day to maintain balance in the Heart chakra.
Try using positive affirmations like “I am love”, “I am thankful and grateful for everyone who loves me, “during your next meditation to help restore emotional balance and rewire your mind toward love and connection.
