At Whispering Hope Farm, we are proud to offer both Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT). While both involve meaningful interactions with horses, they are very different services with different goals and levels of support.

🐓 Equine Assisted Learning focuses on personal growth, life skills, confidence, communication, emotional awareness, leadership, and connection through experiential activities with horses. These sessions are facilitated by an Equine Specialist and are educational and wellness-based in nature.

🌿 Equine Assisted Therapy is a mental health service provided in partnership with a Registered Therapist and an Equine Specialist. These sessions are designed to support individuals experiencing challenges such as anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and mental wellness concerns.

At Whispering Hope Farm, our horses are partners in creating opportunities for connection, reflection, and growth.

Disclaimer:
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is not therapy and does not involve a mental health professional. EAL sessions are educational and experiential wellness programs designed to support learning, self-awareness, and personal development.

If you are unsure which service may be the best fit for you or your child, we are always happy to chat and help guide you in the right direction.

This week during our After School Program there were so many beautiful moments of connection, creativity, curiosity, and play ā™„ļø

From quiet moments spent gently connecting with animals to imaginative mud kitchens, cuddles with bunnies, collecting eggs, and simply slowing down enough to notice the little things… this is the kind of childhood we value deeply here at Whispering Hope Farm 🌿

What may look like ā€œjust playā€ is actually children building confidence, practicing empathy, developing communication skills, exploring their creativity, and learning how to connect with the world around them.

One of the most beautiful things about farm life is that there is no rush. The animals encourage us to slow down, be present, and simply enjoy the moment. šŸ“šŸ°šŸ“

I’m Kayla MacIntyre, I’m the owner/operator of Whispering Hope. I’ve decided that I’m going to start sharing more of the inspiration behind Whispering Hope Farm. Sharing more about who I am, my values, and the reason behind why I do this work.

I want people to know the person they are supporting when they support Whispering Hope Farm.

This farm was built from love, life experiences, healing, and the deep belief that animals and nature have the ability to help people reconnect… not only with the world around them, but with themselves. My drive to offer Animal Assisted Wellness & Learning comes from my own journey and from witnessing the impact animals can have on people when they are given the space to simply be present.

My posts are not a perfectly filtered version.
Not someone pretending to have it all figured out.

Just a real person… sharing life as it comes.

The good moments.
The hard moments.
The growth.
The lessons.
The joy.
The tears.
The healing.

Because that’s what makes us human… to feel it all.

I think somewhere along the way, social media became a place where people felt they had to only show the polished pieces of life. But I believe there is so much beauty in authenticity. There is comfort in knowing we all struggle sometimes, we all question things, we all carry stories that shaped us.

I share my heart openly because I never want people to feel alone in theirs.

The farm has taught me so much about that. Animals don’t pretend to be anything other than what they are. They feel deeply, they rest when they need to, they set boundaries, they connect honestly. There is something so grounding about being around that kind of truth.

Whispering Hope Farm was never meant to be just a business…it’s a place to share with people, where they can exhale, slow down, and experience authentic connection through interaction with animals.

I’m still learning. Still growing. Still healing parts of myself while helping create a space where others can do the same.

So whether you’re here for the animals, the stories, the quiet moments, or simply because you needed a reminder that it’s okay to be human… thank you for being here. ā™„ļø

Please Note: Our farm experiences are designed for recreation, relaxation, and education.
We provide a space for mindful connection with nature and animals to promote general well-being.

I’ve realized that joy often isn’t found in the ā€œbigā€ things… it’s found in the small rituals that make us feel at home within ourselves.

A cozy chair.
A favourite mug.
Warm coffee.
Soft morning light.

Having one of those early mornings. Missing the souls who are no longer with me today.

Taking a few moments to just be, enjoying the things that are here, and being grateful for everything that surrounds me today.

Sometimes that’s all we need to begin the day… with gratitude ā™„ļø

Happy Friday, Enjoy your weekend ahead ✨

When I was a little girl, I remember running outside the second it started to rain. I would spin in circles, hold my hands out to the sky, and try to catch the raindrops with my mouth. I remember the smell of the earth, the feeling of my clothes getting soaked, and how alive it all felt. Rain wasn’t something ā€œbadā€ā€¦ it was something magical.

But somewhere along the way, as I got older, that wonder slowly turned into ā€œUgh… it’s raining.ā€

Like rain became an inconvenience. Something gloomy. Something to complain about.

And I think life can do that to us sometimes. It teaches us to view things through stress, responsibilities, expectations, and discomfort instead of curiosity and presence.

But over the years, I started leaning back into the rain the same way I did as a child.I stopped seeing it as negative and started embracing it again.

Now, I notice how peaceful rain really is. How calming it feels to hear the drops hit the earth, the barn roof, the trees.
How the animals become quieter and softer. How rain washes things clean, it’s so purifying. How it slows the world down and invites us to slow down too.

Rain is just as beautiful as the sun. Just in a different way.

And maybe life is like that too.

Sometimes the things we immediately see as ā€œbadā€ or uncomfortable are not always what they appear to be. Sometimes those moments are the ones that soften us, ground us, teach us, and help us grow.

Maybe we were never meant to avoid every storm…Maybe we were meant to learn how to dance in the rain again. ā™„ļø

Take a few moments to embrace the rain in the coming days… you may discover that it isn’t something to rush through or avoid, but something to experience.

Listen to the sound of it hitting the earth. Notice the way the trees sway softer. Breathe in the fresh smell that follows a rainfall. Feel how the world seems to slow down for a moment.

Sometimes the most beautiful parts of life are the things we once viewed as inconvenient.

What if the rain was never meant to ruin the day…Maybe it was meant to remind us to pause, soften, and simply be. ✨

Do you remember a moment in time you shared a memory with the rain? Something that stuck with you? One memory I have is ā€œRelay For Lifeā€spent with my family (aunts and cousins) as my ā€œteamā€ and walking the track throughout the rain all evening… right into early morning… walking for my grandmother Shirley with fought so hard to ā€œjust liveā€ throughout her cancer journey.

This morning on the farm was such a beautiful reminder that horses communicate far beyond words. ā™„ļø

During our liberty session with Dreamie, April showed such calm, natural communication skills. Watching her connect through body language, energy, and presence was something special to witness. There were no ropes, no force, no pressure… just trust and connection.

At one point, April was able to guide Dreamie to place two hooves inside the hula hoop simply by communicating with her body and intention. She also encouraged Dreamie to gently touch the ball with her nose. This was done all through patience, softness, and clear communication.

What stood out most was the ending of the session. As the connection deepened, April naturally became the leader, and the horses chose to follow her around the arena. That’s the beautiful thing about liberty work with horses… it’s not about control, it’s about relationship. Horses are incredibly sensitive animals who respond honestly to the energy we bring into the space.

We also took time to slow down ourselves… sipping on hot tea and enjoying Mary’s homemade cinnamon rolls while spending quiet time in the barn together. In a world that moves so quickly, mornings like this remind us how important it is to pause, breathe, and simply be present.

Moments like this remind us that connection doesn’t always need words. Sometimes stillness, presence, and trust say everything. ✨🐓

There’s something about horses that gently strip away the masks we wear.
They don’t care about titles, expectations, or who we pretend to be. They respond to energy, presence, honesty, and emotion.

Around horses, it becomes harder to hide. They invite us to slow down enough to notice ourselves… our breathing, our feelings, our nervous system, and the parts of us that have been buried beneath the busyness of life.

At Whispering Hope Farm, we often witness people arrive carrying stress, pressure, or the feeling that they need to ā€œperform.ā€ But over time, something shifts. Shoulders soften. Smiles become more genuine. Laughter comes easier. Silence feels safe.

Horses have a way of bringing us back to who we truly are underneath it all.
Not who the world expects us to be.
Not who we think we should be.
Just ourselves.

And maybe that’s one of the greatest gifts animals can offer us… the reminder that authenticity feels lighter than pretending. ā™„ļø

A page of a book, my beautiful friend sent me today, that reminded me of my herd 🐓
