Lumi and I taking in our new surroundings and missing Kaos. I posted this a little while ago on my other Instagram account. For some reason losing Kaos is hitting me hard this week. The one thing I know about grief is that grief knows no boundaries. I write this with a heavy heart. We had to let Kaos go. He was the fur baby love of my life. Kaos changed me in ways I can’t explain. He was a huge presence in all of our lives. He changed our lives for the better. He loved us unconditionally and would not settle down for the night until he knew we were all safe. He would intervene if any of us were arguing or fighting often pushing us apart. His dedication to this family was incredible, honorable and will never be forgotten. He’s been gone over a week and I couldn’t bring myself to post this. We were meant to have Kaos as a family member and he never let us down. He deserves peace and freedom from a terrible disease. He lived 25 months in which I was told I would be lucky to have him a year. “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” –Anatole France.
