I had the honour of guiding a beautiful woman through her very first experience with horses yesterday.

We spent the afternoon together in the rain, and by the end of our time, she was glowing.

What continues to fascinate me is how often I hear the same thing:

“I feel called to horses, and I don’t know why.”

Sometimes it’s someone reconnecting after years away.

Sometimes it’s someone who once had horses in their life.

And sometimes, like yesterday, it’s someone who has never been around horses before at all.

Yet the calling is there.

The horses don’t seem to care about experience. They simply meet people exactly where they are.

I’ve watched nervousness turn into confidence, uncertainty turn into trust, and curiosity turn into joy.

Perhaps people aren’t being called to the horses themselves.

Perhaps they’re being called to the peace, presence, and remembrance that the horses help awaken within them.

And the horses simply help guide them home. 🐴✨

Watching Lincoln emerge from the forest and run across the rolling hills felt almost dreamlike. 🐴✨

He’s the gentle leader of his herd and carries such a calm, clearing presence. Being near him feels grounding, peaceful, and deeply restorative.

Some horses simply shift the energy around them.

There’s something deeply healing about being in the presence of horses. 💛

Not because they try to fix us…
but because they invite us back into truth.

Master Gabbe the Appaloosa beautifully demonstrates the subtle signs horses often give before they roll. 🐴✨

Horses will often slow down, circle, shift their tail, bend their legs, and carefully choose the perfect spot before lowering themselves to the earth. It’s so fascinating to witness.

Watching Gabbe release into the earth before session time always feels so powerful.
