My recent creations ✨️ i've been really into making my own jewelry lately - i'll take beads from necklaces I don't wear anymore and re-thread them, as well as make holes in seashells to turn them into pendants and give the necklaces a new look. Recently, I went to an amazing gathering of over one hundred women in the forest where we sang together, meditated together, ate together, danced together and lived together in unison. Every woman unique in her life path, every woman authentically and beautifully herself. I am so grateful to have been part of what I consider a movement of women who find strength in one another, who lift each other up and who allow each other to feel safe to be vulnerable and bloom at their own rhythm. ✨️

These drawings were made to honor the cyclical nature of women, their divine beauty, their portal of life (the womb) and the ceremonial cacao that opens our hearts to receive life's blessings.

I am working towards something exciting that I will share with you all once it's official... this is the piece I am submitting as part of my application. I was so indecisive and frustrated trying to find an idea for this piece, I was scrolling on Pinterest and changing my mind on what subject to draw every two minutes. In the last few years, my medium of choice has been either digital (on my ipad) or using fineline black pen, so HB pencil felt out of my comfort zone weirdly enough. 😅 I also don't feel at ease drawing shadows so I stuck with what I knew and created a drawing that could very well be made into a tattoo design. This took roughly 4 hours and was made using HB pencil on paper.

I have a bad habit of starting pieces, getting bored and letting them sit half finished for weeks... or even months. Recently, i've been making it my mission to try to complete some unfinished pieces that are collecting dust. When I found this wooden canvas from ages ago that I had painted stripes on, I wasn't sure what to do next. At first, I thought a blue snow cone would create a nice contrast with the orangey pink tones of the stripes. Of course, throughout my creative process my ideas developed and I ended up with an ice-cream cone. I wanted to play around with texture to make the ice-cream scoops look more realistic, but I didn't have any paint thickener on hand so I ended up mixing baking soda with my paint and I applied it using a palette knife. I quite like the way it turned out! However, it felt like it was missing something so I added a cherry on top! (a red pom-pom with a pipe cleaner stem). This colourful piece would look so cute in a child's bedroom and it's right on theme with summer. ☀️🍦🍨

Hi, my name is Gabby, I am a 28 year old multidisciplinary artist living in Canada. I've had a passion for art ever since I could hold a paintbrush, and I would describe my style as psychedelic, happy, vibrant, and cartoony. I like to bring my ideas to life through drawing, painting, sculpting, and more recently, tattooing. My inspiration comes from nature, my childhood and my larger than life imagination. I studied art in highschool and college, but I would consider myself to be mostly self-taught. I got into tattooing a few years ago and I see it as another outlet for me to express my creativity, just in a more permanent manner. So far, I have completed a fineline course as well as a hygiene course, but I am interested in continuing to develop my skills and knowledge in this art form.
