🐈⬛I went from living with wild cats on a farm to studying the human mind as a hypnotherapist🌀 My journey hasn’t exactly followed a script, but every chapter taught me something about resilience...
✨ New branding on its way, same curious human behind the hypnotherapy chair.
My goal for 2026 is to learn more about social media and reintroduce myself, so here goes...
🌾 I grew up on a farm in a small community. Tiny as in one-room schoolhouse tiny. I attended a schoolhouse that taught approximately 20 children from kindergarten to grade 4 in one room, all learning together. Looking back, I'm still not entirely sure how our teacher managed that without developing superpowers.. ⛽ The nearest "town" was a 20-minute drive—a gas station, grocery store, and bank. Luxury.
🐴 Farm life meant caring for all kinds of animals. Some were normal. Some... not so much. We had emus, rheas, and a llama that seemed personally committed to spitting on people. My parents also rescued a lynx and a bobcat that became house cats. Yes, really. People would stop by just to visit the cats.
💛 Growing up in a small community taught me the value of connection, simplicity, hard work, and showing up for one another. It was a slower pace of life that I'm incredibly grateful to have experienced.
At 12, my parents separated and we moved to a larger town. It was a major life change and one that taught me a great deal about people, resilience, and adapting when life doesn't follow the script.
🏡 My teen years were spent on an acreage outside a larger city before my next adventure took me north.
❄️ Yellowknife became home during my late teens and early adulthood. What was supposed to be an adventure turned into 17 incredible years filled with friendship, opportunity, growth, community, and some unforgettable northern experiences. The friendships I made there are lifelong, and I will always be grateful for everything the North taught me.
🎓 I attended university for Criminal Justice with a focus on Correctional Studies and have spent my career working with people, hearing their stories, and learning from their experiences.
❤️ Supporting survivors of domestic violence is a cause that remains very close to my heart.
🌀 In 2015, after years working in law enforcement and Public Prosecution alongside survivors of crime, I began my hypnotherapy training. Today, I travel throughout the year to work from Juniper Health in Yellowknife and Mind, Body, Soul Integrative Clinic in Kelowna, where I have the privilege of supporting clients in beautiful, welcoming spaces.
🧠 I question everything. I've always been fascinated by the human mind, healing, behaviour, and growth. My Pops likes to joke that I'm a professional student, and honestly, he may not be wrong. I'm currently completing a degree in Psychology and am usually enrolled in some form of continuing education. If you've learned something recently that completely blew your mind, send it my way.
🚔 Outside of hypnotherapy, I also work in emergency services supporting individuals experiencing crisis.
🌊 I currently live in central Alberta. When I'm not working or studying, you'll usually find me spending time with my partner and our dog, enjoying lake life, travelling, watching documentaries, or connecting with family and friends.
At the heart of everything I do is a genuine love of people, their stories, and their ability to heal, grow, and create meaningful change.
Thanks for being here✨
