In TCM, every organ has a time of peak activity.

The Liver’s time is 1-3am.

Waking during this window can point to stagnation, often linked to stress, emotional holding, or qi not moving as freely as it could.

Those middle of the night wake ups can be a hint about what’s going on in your body.

Sometimes I ask questions in an appointment that make people raise an eyebrow…
“Uh… really?”
Yep. Really. And every question has a purpose.

Sleep, digestion, stress, emotions…they all tell the story your body is trying to share.
Acupuncture works best when we get the full picture.

NADA Ear Acupuncture 🌿
(Acu-Detox Protocol)

NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) ear acupuncture is a gentle, evidence-informed protocol used to support people experiencing addiction, stress, and trauma.

How NADA may help:
• Reduce cravings for alcohol, drugs, and ni****ne
• Ease withdrawal symptoms
• Promote calm, better sleep, and less agitation
• Support emotional healing and stress relief
• Enhance receptivity to counselling and therapeutic support
• Encourage emotional release, including grief
• Foster inner quiet, resilience, and strength

What to expect
Up to five small, sterile, single-use needles are gently placed into specific points on each ear.

Developed in the 1970s at Lincoln Memorial Hospital in New York, NADA is now used internationally in community, clinical, and correctional settings.

Studies show improvements in depression, anxiety, anger, and grief, along with better concentration, increased energy, and fewer physical aches and pains.

The NADA protocol is most effective when used alongside supportive treatment programs such as counselling, education, support groups, and appropriate medical care.

As one year comes to a close and another begins, January can be a good time to slow down.

After a busy season, your body and nervous system often need space to reset and settle. Acupuncture supports your body’s natural ability to recalibrate, helping with digestion, sleep, stress, and energy so you can move forward feeling grounded and supported.

Happy New Year! Wishing you moments of ease in the year ahead.
