Red Bead
In the beadwork, a red bead lies,
A tribute to ancestors who bravely defied,
Preserving tradition with courage and pride,
Their sacrifice remembered, never denied.
The glow of the bead, so hidden from view,
Symbolizes the bloodshed, the trials they knew,
Their legacy honored, their story retold,
In each intricate pattern, their spirit unfolds.
With empathic hands, the artist weaves,
Each thread a tribute, each bead a reprieve,
For the ancestors who paved the way,
Their memory cherished, in art they stay.
So let us remember the ones who came before,
Their strength and resilience forevermore,
In the artist's beadwork, their story is told,
A testament to courage and beauty untold .
