A few weeks ago, downtown Thorold was vandalized with graffiti.
Every day on my way to work, I drove past it and was reminded of how much pride so many people have poured into our downtown over the last few years. Business owners, volunteers, residents, and community groups have worked hard to make Thorold a place we’re proud to call home.
After speaking with the business owner, I offered to help. They supplied the paint, and I donated my time.
Not because it was my building.
Not because I had to.
But because I care about this community.
This wall is clean now, but there are still other areas around the city that could use a helping hand. Sometimes community pride isn’t about ownership—it’s about showing up.
What would happen if more of us volunteered a few hours to help a neighbour or improve our community?
❤️ Thorold, let’s keep building something beautiful together.
