Fall food is officially back and honestly this might be my favourite time of year to cook. 👨‍🍳

Soups. Roasted vegetables. Apples. Squash. Warm breakfasts. Big Sunday dinners.

Add in my weekly local farm box and I’m basically going to spend the next month figuring out what to make with whatever shows up.🥬🌽🧄🍠

So expect lots of recipes, real-life meals, workouts, coffee, mom life and whatever else we’re doing around here. 🍂

🥕🍓 Eat with the seasons!

One of the simplest ways to improve your nutrition is by choosing produce that’s in season. Not only does it taste better, but it’s often fresher, more affordable, and packed with nutrients.

This summer, keep an eye out for:

🍓 Strawberries & blueberries
🍅 Tomatoes
🥒 Cucumbers
🌽 Sweet corn
🥬 Leafy greens
🥕 Carrots & beets
🫑 Bell peppers
🧄 Green onions & garlic
🌿 Fresh herbs like basil, dill, parsley, and cilantro

Shopping in season is a great way to add more variety to your meals while supporting local farmers and markets.

💙 Save this post for your next grocery trip, and don’t forget to share it with someone who’s trying to eat more fruits and vegetables this summer!

What’s your favourite summer fruit or vegetable? Mine is fresh local tomatoes! 🍅👇

✨ Not all nutrition goals are the same — and that’s exactly why coaching should never be one-size-fits-all.

When people think about nutrition coaching, they often assume it’s all about weight loss. While that’s certainly one goal we help clients achieve, it’s only one piece of the puzzle.

Some of the things I’ve been helping clients with recently include:

✨ Losing weight in a sustainable way without cutting out their favourite foods

💪 Increasing protein intake to support muscle growth, recovery, and healthy aging

🏃 Improving energy levels throughout the day so they can keep up with work, family, and activities

⚾ Fueling young athletes and active families with balanced meals and snacks

🍽️ Building healthy habits around meal planning, grocery shopping, and consistency

❤️ Improving their relationship with food and moving away from the all-or-nothing mindset

📈 Learning how to maintain results long-term instead of jumping from diet to diet

The truth is that everyone’s goals are a little different. We help each person find an approach that works for their lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

For us, when it comes to nutrition coaching. It’s not about perfection. It’s about creating habits that fit real life.

I’d love to hear from you—what is one nutrition goal you’re currently working on? 🥑❤️

Protein can be one of the hardest nutrition goals to hit consistently — not because people don’t want to, but because it usually takes a little more planning. 🤔

Unlike carbs or snack foods that are easy to grab on the go, protein often requires us to think ahead:
🥚 prep the eggs
🍗 cook the chicken
🐟 thaw the salmon
🥣 stock the fridge with easy options

But getting enough protein can make a huge difference in:
✔️ energy
✔️ fullness & cravings
✔️ muscle maintenance
✔️ recovery
✔️ balanced blood sugar
✔️ overall nutrition

The good news? It doesn’t have to be perfect or complicated. Small choices throughout the day add up.

A few simple ways to make protein easier:
• Build meals around a protein source first
• Keep convenient options on hand
• Add protein to snacks
• Prep a few staples ahead each week
• Focus on consistency over perfection
