Ramadan Kareem 🌙 | Fasting & Diabetes — Let’s plan it safely

If you live with diabetes and you’re planning to fast this Ramadan, a quick plan can make a huge difference.

Before Ramadan (best step):
✅ Visit your doctor for a quick check-in to adjust your medications safely.

While fasting, watch for:
⚠️ Low sugar (hypoglycemia): sweating, shaking, dizziness, confusion
⚠️ High sugar (hyperglycemia): extreme thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision

Important: If you have symptoms of low blood sugar, you should break your fast and treat it — health comes first.

Tips that help:
🍽️ Don’t skip suhoor
💧 Hydrate well after iftar
🩺 Check your blood sugar more often (this does not break the fast)
🚶‍♂️ Light activity is better than intense workouts while fasting
