What becomes possible when care leads the way?

This September, I’m honoured to be presenting and co-hosting The Sound of Care: Symposium & Community happening inside of Global Heart Sync.

You’re invited to this global online symposium bringing together people across healthcare, education, science, the arts, innovation, and many other walks of life to explore how care can become a more conscious force in the way we live, lead, relate, and shape our world.

At the heart of the symposium are two questions:

How do we create a world where care leads the way in all sectors of society?

How do I personally express and apply care in my life and work?

Over 3 days, we’ll come together for 10 inspiring hours of dialogue, music, reflection, guided experiences, and collaboration, not simply to exchange ideas, but to explore what becomes possible when we begin to see ourselves, one another, and our shared future through a different lens.

This is also the beginning of an ongoing global Care First community, and we want your voice to be part of it.

There is no fee to participate.

What excites me most isn’t that the event sold out, it’s what that says. People are hungry for conversations about what connects us. They want to understand the science behind compassion, relationships, and why human connection matters now more than ever.

That gives me hope.

I can’t wait to spend the evening together, asking questions, and exploring ideas that belong far beyond the walls of a classroom.

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

Today let us reflect on the incredible power of a mother’s love, not only emotionally, but biologically as well.

One of the most fascinating things science has discovered is that during pregnancy, mothers pass living cells to their children that can remain in the body throughout life. These cells may continue supporting aspects of our health, healing, and immune system well into adulthood.

In a very real sense, a part of our mother stays with us forever.

I find something deeply meaningful in that.

It reminds me that connection is not just a feeling or an idea. It’s woven into us. Our lives shape one another in ways we are only beginning to understand.

Maybe this is also why practices centered around the heart- love, compassion, gratitude, presence - can have such a profound effect on our wellbeing. When we cultivate coherence within ourselves, it naturally extends outward into our relationships, our families, and our communities.

The more I study the science of the heart and human connection, the more I believe that healing and peace begin with remembering that we are not separate from one another.

From my heart to yours, wishing all the mothers out there a beautiful Mother’s Day.

🌌 What if healing environments could be designed… not just for the body, but for the human experience?

As a radiologist, I spend my days using technology to see inside the human body.

MRIs.
CT scans.
Imaging that reveals what was once invisible.

But something changed my perspective.

At one point in my life, I experienced medicine not just as a physician…

…but as a patient.

And that experience taught me something important.

Healing isn’t only physical.

It’s also about:

Connection.
Environment.
Shared experience.

When people feel supported…
When they feel understood…
When they feel part of something larger…

something powerful happens.

That’s why I’m fascinated by immersive environments and dome spaces.

Because inside these spaces we can combine:

🎨 Art
🎶 Music
📖 Storytelling
🌍 Community

…and create experiences that help people reconnect with themselves and with each other.

In a time when anxiety and disconnection are rising, spaces like these may offer something we need more than ever.

Not just treatment.

But transformation.

I’m so grateful to share that I’ll be speaking at the Ontario Association Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) Future-Focused Symposium on Saturday, January 31st.

When I first began practicing Radiology, I never could have imagined my journey bringing me here. I’m deeply grateful, not only for this opportunity, but for the incredible community of professionals who continue to expand what’s possible in patient care every single day.

In my talk, I’ll be exploring something that’s very close to my heart:
