n our books. We work with female artisans in developing countries to create our makeup packaging. We pay them fair wages. Fairer than fair. In fact, everyone who works with us receives equal and fair compensation, woman, man, able-bodied or disabled, gay, straight, old and young. We believe in equality. We offer clean, vegan and cruelty-free makeup for those with acne prone or sensitive skin. We stray away from toxins and known carcinogens. Our ingredients are gluten free, talc free, mineral oil free and is safe for any skin type. Whether you have dry skin, oily skin, deep or light skin, our makeup is made for you. Our formulas are packed with rich ingredients like castor oil, Sake extract, Vitamin E, moisturizing agents, and anti-redness ingredients. Our lip gloss for example will leave your skin soft and hydrated. We encourage creatives to wear our formulas. We back looks done in the style of makeup brutalism. We marvel at The Artist Edit, Makeup Brutalism Dazed Beauty and the likes. While our colours and formulas might be simple, with wearable shades and clean formulas, we encourage artists to experiment. Down Boy Studio was founded in 2020 on the belief that beauty isn’t built in a boardroom—it happens when you’re a part of the process. We got our start with Into The Down Boy Club, a beauty page devoted to people sharing the products they love, and our source for inspiration and information. Now, we’re building the future beauty company where everything we make starts with you. We create the products you tell us you wish existed. We believe in thoughtful design, and enabling conversation (which is where it all starts). But most of all, we believe that beauty is about having fun, wherever you are in your journey. We’ve continue to create clean, cruelty-free makeup products that never compromise on performance. Our good-for-skin formulas are free of harsh chemicals and unnecessary additives, and full of botanical extracts and natural minerals that help improve skin’s appearance.
