Have you ever noticed people hiking their hips while walking?

Especially during midstance where the body is loaded over the foot?

This is one of the reasons why!

If you want to learn about more compensations like these, why they happen and what to do about it, then check out my brand new Gait Assessment Course💪🏻

One of the biggest reasons why I like using Gait in my assessment process is that it gives us a visual on how the entire body moves.

If I didn’t have much time to assess, I would use gait.

If you want to learn how to break down gait similar to this and know how to address these common compensations…

Then comment “Gait” below⤵️

One of the most common things I see during gait and any other lower body movement when they’re trying to push away from the ground is extending the knee.

You see this during gait when someone pushes off but even as they are loading that leg.

The key is to extend the hip without moving the knee.

Another way of saying it is extend the hip around the knee.

If you want to learn how to pick this up in an assessment like a Gait Analysis then comment “Gait” below to get 40% off of my brand new Gait Assessment Course for a limited time⏰

The split squat is one of my favourite exercises because it’s so versatile.

Unfortunately many perform it wrong.

This is how I teach some of my clients how to perform it.

Want to learn how I cue different variations and how to progress it?

Limited ankle mobility is a common movement limitation.

The problem is, many just try to force the ankle into more flexion when it may not be the limiting factor.

If you want to learn how to assess this using a better assessment model and have better exercise strategies to address it…

Then stay tuned for my new course dropping any day đź‘€
