FOREHEAD FILLER + TEMPLE REFLATION

Here are the before and after photos from yesterday’s post. From the profile view you can appreciate the more rounded appearance of the forehead. From the semi-profile view, the temples appear less hollowed. These are subtle changes but impactful. There is swelling present which may take up to 2 weeks to resolve. Again, these are high risk areas. Please make sure your provider is qualified to inject these areas and to address any adverse events that may arise.

I WANT MY HIGH RISK AREAS INJECTED PLEASE

A patient may not say that but that’s all I hear when they request for forehead and temple filler. Other high risk areas include between the eyebrows, the nose, and nasolabial folds. These are all highly vacularized areas susceptible to vascular occlusion leading to tissue necrosis and even stroke and blindness.

There are ways to make injecting these areas safer but not absent of risk. This would include use of ultrasound to visualize the anatomy, use of blunt tip cannula, injecting small boluses, and injecting with low pressure/force. That’s my approach to keep things safer.

APTOS THREAD LIFT + TIRZEPATIDE

We have a 39yo patient who underwent an Aptos Thread Lift 10 months ago. She initiated a Tirzepatide weight loss program concurrently and lost 40lbs. Most patients would look gaunt and unwell, but no Medication Driven Weight Loss Face here. Aptos lifts and stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis over several months so there is no sagging and hollowing.

Although her mandible looks “snatched”, no threads were placed submentally or along the mandible. I used an anchor point on the lateral cheek above the tragus in front of the hairline. One thread was directed to each of her jowls and 4 vectors superiorly encompassing the oral commisure, nasal ala, and points in between. 5 vectors per side.

REVISION 🍆 GIRTH ENHANCEMENT

This gentleman flew in from the US. He underwent 🍆 Girth Enhancement (GE) in Mexico but had a poor aesthetic outcome. There were contour irregularities leaving the appearance misshapen. We dissolved his previous filler a few weeks ago and he returned for the revision.

He was treated with Grotox to reduce flaccid-erect length variation (shrinkage). This decreases the likelihood of contour irregularities. This crucial step is often overlooked by other providers.

Fortunately his GE was performed with dissolvable filler so that his disfigurement was not permanent.

We performed P-GIRTH® with 15mL in his shaft and 5mL in his g***s. He was very happy with the appearance but was also delighted that his procedure was nearly painless unlike his experience in Mexico.

Medical tourism can be very hit or miss. It all comes down to the provider. Make sure they are very experienced. Ask to see a gallery of their work. Ask about complications and whether or not they are capable of resolving them. After doing your homework, you’ll come to realize we are a great option to achieve your goals.

APTOS THREAD LIFT

Here are before and after photos of our female patient in her 60s. Her results were obtained using the nonsurgical Aptos Thread Lift Method.

As you can see, her face looks lifted without adding volume from fillers. She looks less tired as we have reshaped her face to more top rather than bottom heavy. Swelling is present but should resolve over the next few days.

Aptos is Health Canada approved and delivering WOW results immediately and typically lasts 2yrs. One treatment delivers close to 2 meters of suspension sutures equivalent to 4 vials of Sculptra. They come in longer lengths such that you can make 2 to 3 passes with the same individual cannula.

These features allow for more lifting capability. There is no need to tie suture knots. They are anchored between additional passes of the cannula. They require a surgical field and sterile technique which allow the provider to actually touch the cannula closer to the entry site allowing for better control.
