It all comes down to the light and pigment. During the treatment, the laser delivers concentrated energy that is attracted to the melanin (pigment) in the hair. That energy travels down the hair shaft and converts into heat, targeting the follicle to reduce its ability to produce new hair.

But here’s the important part: NOT ALL HAIRS ARE IN THE SAME GROWTH PHASE AT TGE SAME TIME. Laser hair removal is most effective when the hair is in the active growth phase (anagen) which is why treatments need to be spaced out and repeated over multiple sessions.
