Getting to the Birthing area of Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto's East end!

Take a loooooong walk with Vera the doula in this video tour of how to get from the temporary front entrance all the way to the Labour and Delivery TRIAGE area.

This is the area where you will go when in labour and ready to be admitted to a private birth room.

This hospital has bath tubs, nitrous oxide, birth balls, peanut balls, kitchenette area and loads of good vibes.

As Vera had only ONE hot tip for pregnancy LOL.

But a big one is to plan for more help when baby arrives. Family help, friends, paid support, virtual community!

Who will check in on you, bring you food, clean your toilet, fold your laundry, listen to your complaints, cry with you, laugh with you, lift you back up?

Plan ahead while things are calm and quiet. We can never predict how long the calm lasts.

If you are struggling after childbirth, please call in a friend, reach out to another parent or hire some help. This too shall pass, faster when we are not alone.
