The study found that epinephrine use at school to treat anaphylaxis nearly doubled after Alberta introduced legislation requiring stock epinephrine in schools.

The legislation was also associated with a significant increase in anaphylaxis education among school personnel โ€” highlighting the importance of making sure school staff have both access to epinephrine and the training to recognize anaphylaxis and respond quickly.
