This Overdose Awareness Day, we highlight the substance use health needs of 2SLGBTQ+ communities.

The Canadian Pharmacists Association has developed a toolkit to support pharmacists in providing inclusive, affirming health services to trans and gender-diverse clients. It includes learning modules, counselling supports and downloadable tools to help integrate inclusive best practices into everyday care.

We're just one week away from the deadline to submit a proposal for the RHO 2027 Conference, Equity in Action.

We're looking for proposals, in the areas of practice, research or policy, that build practitioners' skills and offer practical ways to improve health outcomes for 2SLGBTQ+ clients. We encourage proposals from and about equity-deserving groups, including Indigenous, racialized, low-income, older adult, neurodivergent and rural communities.

We had the pleasure of leading two days of in-person training with Giishkaandago'Ikwe Health Services in Fort Frances back in early June. A huge thank-you to the team for hosting us so warmly!

While in Fort Frances, we learned about Dianna Boileau, the first Canadian to receive gender-affirming surgery in 1970.
