LEARNstyle Ltd. We are driving the future of innovative learning so that we can give every person the opportunity to In 2008, they formed LEARNstyle Ltd.

Our passion and expertise grows out of a deep personal understanding of learning disabilities. DJ Cunningham, CEO has a significant learning disability, as does his brother. In school he faced all the issues of those with hidden disabilities: feelings of inadequacy and stupidity, concealment, embarrassment, ridicule, teasing, being viewed as lazy or defiant. He used common coping mechanisms such a

s becoming invisible; acting out; and at times and with growing sophistication, “playing the LD card.” At Trent University, he discovered assistive technologies and a door to independence and academic success opened. DJ has been a user of Assistive Technologies for the past 10 years and has trained hundreds of students and led numerous training workshops. Rick Cunningham, CFO has extensive experience in Special Education as a teacher, working at Thistletown Regional Centre and as a teacher diagnostician at The Child Development Clinic of the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children. He has been an elementary and high school principal with the Toronto and York Region District School Boards. As a principal, he implemented a model of full inclusion supported by assistive technologies universally accessible on all computers in the school. Currently he is also the Associate Director of the Bachelor of Education Program at Tyndale University in Toronto. and have been service providers for SEA claims training,PD sessions, Tutoring, Tech Camps and keynote speeches on Assistive Technologies. Our vision for Assistive Technology has grown and we now see it as truly necessary for some but beneficial for all.

Some students will never remember the lesson.

But they will remember the teacher who made them feel seen 💙

For Randy Shand, Coaching Manager at LEARNstyle, that truth is deeply personal.

Growing up with an exceptionality, school often felt isolating. There were moments of frustration, moments of feeling different, and moments where simply being understood could change everything.

What stayed with Randy wasn’t every assignment or test score.
It was the educators who listened.
The ones who took the time to truly hear him.

That experience became his purpose.

Today, Randy supports educators and students across LEARNstyle, helping create learning environments where blind and low vision students feel included, empowered, and valued for who they are not limited by what they cannot see.

From Technology Coach to Regional Coaching Manager, his mission has always remained the same: making sure no student feels invisible.

And for Randy, the most meaningful moments aren’t measured in reports or outcomes.

They’re found in the quiet victories:
A student smiling again.
A child speaking up for the first time.
A moment where someone finally feels safe enough to believe they belong.

“You could have 100 words to say, but ‘I hear you’ is often enough.”

This Education Week, we celebrate educators like Randy - the ones who lead with empathy, listen with intention, and remind us that sometimes the greatest thing we can give a student is the feeling that they matter.

This may look like just a part of the LEARNstyle team but it represents something much larger.

This is the group behind the User Group Conference. The same team that has been deeply invested in building RISE and SEAit - not just as solutions, but as responses to real needs voiced by school boards and educators 🎓

In EdTech, it’s easy to focus on the technology.

But the real work happens in the collaboration behind it - the discussions, the disagreements, and the persistence to keep refining until it truly serves its purpose 🔁

What’s captured here is only a fraction of the people involved.
What’s not visible is the collective effort that makes meaningful progress possible.

Because transforming education isn’t about a single idea — it’s about teams willing to build, listen, and evolve together 🤝

Two days. Dozens of conversations. One shared goal: making systems work better for education.

This week, the LEARNstyle User Group Spring 2026 wrapped up and what stood out wasn’t just what was presented 💬 but what was built together.

Because a true User Group isn’t about sitting through sessions.
It’s about showing up with real challenges and leaving with real direction 🚀

Over two days, school board partners:
• Worked through everyday realities behind RISE and SEAit
• Shared what’s working (and what isn’t) across teams and boards
• Asked tough, practical questions and got equally practical answers
• Helped shape what’s next through honest, experience-driven feedback

From case management and IT/SIS workflows to financial processes and student data practices, every discussion was grounded in one thing: impact where it matters most- day-to-day operations.

And the most powerful part?

The collective experience in the room.

Because progress happens faster when it’s shared.
When one board’s challenge becomes another’s solution.
When feedback turns into action.

To every school board who contributed, questioned, and collaborated-THANK YOU 💙

You didn’t just attend a User Group.
You helped move the work forward.

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “How do we better support every learner in our classrooms?” — this conference was full of answers. 💡

Last week at in Niagara Falls, our SEA, BLV, and Reading Intervention teams joined an incredible community of educators who are turning inclusion into action.

✨ Real strategies
✨ Real classrooms
✨ Real impact

What made it stand out? Nothing felt theoretical. Every session was rooted in what actually works for students - especially those who need it most.

For over 20 years, ASET has been bringing people together to move inclusive education forward… and this year, that momentum was undeniable. 🚀

We left inspired, energized, and ready to keep building alongside you.

🚀 LEARNstyle at ERDI Conference 🇨🇦

There is something powerful about being in a room full of people who care deeply about education 📚

At the ERDI Conference, that energy was everywhere

Superintendents, district leaders, and education partners coming together not just to talk, but to listen, challenge ideas, and think differently about how we support students 🤝

Our CEO DJ Cunningham and Director of Education Partnerships Jeff Hainbuch spent time in conversations that felt real and grounded in what educators are experiencing every day

The need to support every learner
The complexity behind student services
The constant balancing act between systems and students

As part of these discussions, we shared how EARNstyle is contributing to that work through RISE, our Student Services platform that helps teams stay connected around student needs and make more informed decisions 💻, and through Corrective Reading, where focused, one on one support helps students who need extra time and guidance build strong, confident reading skills 📖

But more than anything, ERDI was a reminder

This work is collective
This work is evolving
And it is driven by educators who show up every day for their students 💡

We are grateful to be part of these conversations and to continue building alongside the education community

Great partnerships with school boards don’t just happen—they’re built with intention (and yes… a lot of whiteboarding) 😄🤝

Last week, our team came together (in person + remotely) to map how we actually manage and support our school board partnerships behind the scenes.

Spoiler: it’s messy before it’s magic ✨
We focused on:
🧠 Mapping the real journey (not the “perfect” one)
🧩 Catching gaps and “who owns this?” moments
🛠️ Building a shared system to support schools better
🚀 Aligning as one team moving forward

Why it matters:
Strong partnerships with school boards aren’t transactional—they’re built on clarity, consistency, and trust.

When systems work 👉 schools feel supported
When teams are aligned 👉 communication improves
When ownership is clear 👉 impact grows

Not the flashiest work but the kind that makes everything else possible 💡

AI That Strengthens the Educator’s Voice

In education, words matter.

The way we write comments, feedback, IEPs, and family communication shapes how students see themselves and how families build trust with schools.

That’s why RISE now includes optional AI-supported sentiment guidance designed to support educators in writing clear, compassionate, and strength-based communication.

When drafting reports or recommendations, RISE can:

• Highlight tone patterns
• Flag unintended negative phrasing
• Suggest growth-oriented alternatives
• Promote clarity and professionalism

Educators remain fully in control.
RISE never auto-publishes, replaces, or overrides your writing.

Built specifically for education, the model analyzes only the text you are actively working on. It does not store or reuse educator writing.

Because AI in schools should enhance professional expertise - not replace it.

If communication is at the heart of student success, we believe it deserves thoughtful support.

We are heartbroken by the tragic events at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School.

Our thoughts are with the students, families, educators, first responders, and the entire Tumbler Ridge community as they navigate this unimaginable loss. No school community should ever have to endure something like this.

LEARNstyle stands in solidarity with Tumbler Ridge 💙

🎉 Coach-a-Palooza is here! 🎉

Today, our coaching division is coming together to Unite, Inspire, and Energize as ONE team.

This kickoff is more than a moment on the calendar: it reflects an important evolution in our work. As LEARNstyle strengthens alignment across SEA and Reading Intervention supports, we are embracing a shift from reactive coaching to strategic, collaborative, and culture-driven impact.

✨ Together, we’re celebrating the successes that brought us here, building deeper connections across roles, and sparking innovation for what’s ahead.

We’re grateful to all the school boards joining us today and proud to partner in this shared journey as captured in these photos and in the energy of the day 💙

🎉 Happy New Year from LEARNStyle 🎉

As we begin 2026, our CEO D.J. Cunningham shares a reflection on the conversations that continue to guide our work with school board leader-conversations shaped by evolving student needs, community expectations, and long-term strategy.

At LEARNStyle, this work has always been personal.
School boards don’t need another packaged solution. They need a partner who listens, adapts, and builds alongside their strategic goals.

Every district is different, and every board serves a unique community. That’s why our approach remains intentionally boutique-creating space for ongoing dialogue, feedback, and refinement throughout the year.

📌 Our 2026 focus:
✔ Listening more closely
✔ Learning from what’s working—and what isn’t
✔ Adapting our support to help school boards move their goals forward sustainably

🤝 Partnership isn’t a moment-it’s a commitment.
We’re proud of the work our team continues to do alongside school boards and grateful for the trust placed in LEARNStyle year after year.
