This was me, stuck in this horrible loop with my newborn, and it needed to stop.

This was my fear as well when my daughter was a baby.

Not being able to see your baby’s face can be a scary thing and I wish I had our sleep sack back then.

This is just a reflection of the feedback I hear all the time at trade shows or through DM’s and emails. Some parents just can’t do biometric monitors. They make them more anxious and they don’t trust the numbers.

Babies chew and suck on everything including their sleepwear so you have to make sure whatever you add won’t come off and be a choking hazard, flammability hazard and is non-toxic.

That’s why we spent years trying to find the right materials! I had 3 requirements I wanted to achieve: 1. Needs to work with ANY night vision baby monitor. 2. Needs to be safe (pass all global infant sleepwear safety regulations) 3. Needs to be super durable so it doesn’t shed, get scratched off or chewed off by teething babies, or come off after a million washes .
Children’s sleepwear is subject to specific safety requirements, including flammability and general product safety standards. You need to ensure that its application doesn’t compromise the garment’s compliance or introduce new hazards, such as detachment risks or altered fire performance. If the iron-on were to affect the safety characteristics of a sleep garment or contribute to an injury, the sleepwear could be considered unsafe or defective
It’s just like when people add accessories to car seats that the car seat didn’t originally come with. It changes the way the restraint system performs in a crash, because the car seat wasn’t tested with those modifications to begin with. So you could be doing the same thing to your baby’s sleepwear.
Sleepwear comes in all types of fabrics and %’s of blends. Cotton, Rayon, Viscose, Polyester, Spandex, Elastane....the list goes on. So you’d have to test the reflective “patch” with your specific sleepwear once permanently affixed (as that changes the chemistry) and then also ensure you’ve applied it professionally so it never comes off.
