She had been managing her diagnosis for eight years when she came to us.

Eight years of books, podcasts, practitioners, and rabbit holes. And somewhere along the way, someone actually said to her: "you're just spending a lot of money."

What she had never been given in eight years was a framework. An actual plan that looked at her sleep, her diet, and her stress as one connected system driving her immune response.

More protein is always better, right?

Not for this client. Her go-to snack was quietly making her anxiety worse every single day.

She had tried everything to manage her anxiety and could not figure out why nothing was working.

I scheduled everyone else in. I never scheduled myself.

My patients, family, responsibilities. That consumed all the hours in the day.

Self care was not even a thought.

I was going, getting things done. But not really be-ing.

The turning point for me was making one small commitment. I signed up for yoga classes. I scheduled them in, and they became a weekly non-negotiable. An appointment with accountability I kept for myself.

That sounds simple. But for a woman who had spent years putting herself last, showing up for myself on purpose was one of the hardest things I ever did.

And it was the beginning of everything changing.

You are not tired because you are lazy.

You are tired because your body has been running on empty for a long time and nobody has looked at WHY.

In Healing Habits, I walk through what chronic stress actually does to your adrenal glands.

Most women are drinking water every day and still waking up tired, foggy, and depleted.

Summer makes it worse.

When you sweat, you lose more than water. You lose electrolytes too. Sodium, potassium, magnesium. These are the minerals that actually move water into your cells. Without them, no amount of water will fix the fatigue.

Watch for these signs you may be more dehydrated than you think:
👉Low energy for no reason
👉Headaches mid-afternoon
👉Trouble focusing
👉Dark yellow urine
👉Muscle cramps

And remember, thirst is actually a late sign. Do not wait for it.

Five simple things to do this summer:
💧Start your morning with 20 oz of water before coffee
💧Add a pinch of sea salt or squeeze of lemon to that first glass
💧Sip throughout the day, do not chug
💧Keep a bottle visible so you actually remember
💧Eat your water too. Cucumber, melon, berries, celery.

Jo-Ann came to us already living what most people would call a healthy life.

She was active, intentional, and genuinely cared about her health. But there was a nightly habit she knew wasn't serving her, inflammation that had quietly become her normal, and pain that was telling her something she had not yet been able to decode.
