“Did I love enough?”
~ My Mother
Yolande M. Whiten McTighe
Yesterday marked the first year anniversary of my beloved Mother’s passing.
To honour the occasion, I spent the day with my dear bonus Dad.
We grabbed some Tim Horton sandwiches and sat lakeside, taking in the magnificence of creation.
Just as she and my dad would often do.
We later went on a long country drive, looking at the vineyards bursting with Spring’s arrival.
Just as she and my dad would often do.
And finally, we stopped to see the sun setting over a tranquil harbour in a hamlet in Niagara on the Lake.
Just as she and my dad would often do.
There, I meditated in her honour, as the sun kissed the lake’s cheek, with its’ brilliance and love.
Just as She would kiss ours, to say farewell, but never goodbye.
As we parted, a full beautiful moon grabbed our attention and followed us all the way home.
Overjoyed we were, with the serendipity of it all, no path chosen, but quietly led.
No time for tears, just grace and gratitude.
And to your question Mom?
Yes you did, in abundance.
Love endures and it’s the greatest force of all.
Lead your life with love and love will lead the way.
Love never ends.
Heaven truly is a place on earth.
Life is a gift. Open it.™️
