The use of Acupuncture has been shown to go back nearly 2500 years. In 2012, a large-scale meta-analysis of individual patient data was published from across nearly 18,000 patients found acupuncture was superior to both sham treatment and no-acupuncture controls for chronic back and neck pain, osteoarthritis, and chronic headache.
This supports and confirms what has been known about acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Medicine practices for decades: acupuncture is a drug-free, evidence-informed referral option for chronic pain.
At Aurum, we build on this research foundation by combining acupuncture with functional medicine and diagnostic testing to treat the root cause of pain alongside providing relief in a warm environment.
This is what integrative, evidence-informed care looks like.
