💡What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese holistic, light-touch energy practice. It is based on the concept that you are a complex Life Force Energy (Ki/Qi) field. When you are well, Ki energy flows in, through, and out of the body in a balanced and smooth manner.
Due to illness, injury, or suppressed emotions, this flow may become impeded—a concept common to Yoga, Qigong, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Reiki. The goal of Reiki is to rebalance this energy flow to support the body’s natural healing process. This helps to enable relaxation, accelerate healing, reduce physical and emotional pain, and ease the symptoms of illness.
Through a series of hand positions placed either directly on or just above the body (including the head, shoulders, stomach, and feet), the practitioner facilitates the flow of Ki. The receiver’s body then draws in the specific amount of energy required.
