Washing Out the Day 🧠⚡
A progressive cardio warm-up can do more than raise your temperature—it helps shift your nervous system from work mode into training mode.
Start with 3 minutes in Zone 2, then hold Zone 3 at roughly 70–75% HRmax for 8–10 minutes. The goal is a light sweat, harder breathing, and greater alertness—without draining the energy you need for your workout.
That sweet spot may support the release of chemicals linked with focus, drive, and reduced mental clutter, including anandamide, dopamine, and norepinephrine.
Zone 2: often too gentle to create a fast psychological shift.
Zone 3: the sweet spot for arousal without depletion.
Zone 4: more likely to create unnecessary fatigue before lifting.
Wash out the day. Switch gears. Then train.
