There's a version of my morning that used to start with worry before my feet even hit the floor.

Some mornings still do.

But most of them don't anymore, and that shift didn't happen because the diagnosis went away. It happened because I stopped waiting to feel ready and started building the habits anyway.

Small ones. Repeated daily. That's the whole secret, and it's a lot less complicated than it sounds.

If you're waiting to feel ready before you start, this is your sign that you don't have to.

I almost talked myself out of the hike.

It was supposed to be a quick trail with a friend. Nothing serious. But I caught myself doing the thing I used to do, quietly checking the terrain in my head before I'd even said yes.

Then I just... went.

Uneven ground, a couple of roots to step over, a small hill at the end that had me a little out of breath. None of it was dramatic. It was just a Wednesday.

That's the part nobody tells you. The goal was never to avoid every uneven trail. It was to trust myself on one again.

A new recipe lands in your inbox every Tuesday this month.

This week it's soup season.

Two protein-forward soups, one built around white beans and kale, one built around red lentils and chickpeas for a plant-based option.

Easy to make once and eat off of for days.

If you're not already getting these, comment GUIDE and I'll send you the free guide — you'll get September's recipes too.

Twelve supplements a day.

Careful exercise. Clean eating. Every box checked.

My next scan still came back worse.

Nobody explained anything on the phone call that gave me my diagnosis. Just a diagnosis, and a prescription. So I did what I thought was responsible — more supplements, more caution, more careful.

Then one day I looked at my sister and realized I was staring her straight in the eye. I'd always been taller than her.

That's when I found two vertebral fractures I never knew I had.

That moment could have made me smaller. Instead, it became the turning point.
I stopped managing a diagnosis and started actually understanding my body — protein, gut health, absorption, not just another pill.

I didn't just recover the ground I'd lost. I became the strongest, most capable version of myself I'd ever been.

If any part of this sounds familiar, I'd love to hear it — drop a comment below.

Whenever I have 10 minutes to spare, this is the sauce I make.

It's part of a batch of high-protein dressings I put together this month. Edamame and miso, blended with sesame.

I wasn't trying to make something impressive. I was trying to make something I'd actually reach for on a weeknight, that happened to be doing real work for my bones too.

Drizzle it over grain bowls, roasted vegetables, noodles. It does the work quietly.

I got the diagnosis over the phone.

No real explanation. Just a diagnosis, and a prescription.

For a while, I let it feel like a verdict. Something that had happened to me, that I now had to manage and fear.

Then I made a decision. I looked at it differently. Not as an invitation to fear, but an invitation to actually understand my body, pay attention to it, and become the strongest, most capable version of myself I'd ever been.

Not despite the diagnosis. Because of it.

That's the shift I want for you too.

Shiloh needed a bathroom break.

That was the whole plan. Walk the dog, get some air, come home.

Then I noticed how many times we stopped. A sniff here. A curb there. A red light. Little pauses, over and over.

It hit me that every single one of those pauses was a chance to load a little impact in. Heel raises at the stop sign. A step up onto the curb. A small hop at the crosswalk.

None of it needed its own hour on the calendar. The walk was already giving me the time. I just had to use it.

This round is all about protein.

Dressings and sauces to start. Then soups. A dessert. Easy breakfasts.
Each one built to make hitting your protein goal simple, not another thing to think about.

If calcium were the whole answer, the countries with the highest dairy consumption wouldn't also have the highest hip fracture rates. But they do.
Bone health is not a calcium problem. It's a nutrient teamwork problem.
Calcium needs vitamin D to be absorbed. Vitamin D needs magnesium to activate. Protein builds the collagen scaffold bones sit on. Exercise tells your bones to actually use all of it.

The good news? You can eat and move your way to stronger bones. No gimmicks.
Save this — it's the simplest bone health overview I can give you. Share it with someone who thinks milk is the answer.

For years, my T-score was just a number on a page — -2.6, then -3.1. I didn't actually understand what was driving the change. The thing that shifted everything wasn't a new supplement. It was finally understanding what was behind those numbers — gut health, inflammation, and the daily habits nobody had connected for me. That's the lens my free guide is built on.
