Karrie's Yoga brings both private and group yoga classes to you in Toronto, Ontario. Students gain a comfort and ease with their own movement and abilities. Everyone can participate in exercises for awareness, flexibility, strength and/or alignment. Classes draw on a combination of Hatha yoga principles, pilates, strala, ashtanga, and brief meditative exercises. After injuries that affected her pe

lvis, back, shoulders and neck, Karrie turned to pilates, and a combination of yoga stiles to regain and maintain posture, strength, and flexibility, as well as to retrain herself to be responsive to her body's needs. Karrie's passion and experience with both muscular and skeletal injuries and a number of rehabilitative approaches has taught her an understanding of the ways that the body can be brought back to its natural state of good health. Good afternoon, everyone. I am offering another free Fascial Maneuvers session on Zoom tomorrow morning - June 12 at 7am. Thank you so much to all who have attended in the past.

I am a Fascial Maneuvers Coach (in addition to other talents) and have just returned from Berlin where I was fortunate enough to do dozens of mini sessions with people from all over the world at the - We did some moves for calming, revitalization, mobility, and I responded to some requests for deeper fascial and emotional releases. So many of us are carrying a lot and ready to let it go.

I am loving the learning and thanks to this international work, I am receiving requests from more one-on-one clients and group bookings, but I really enjoy these free public sessions and answering your questions if you are less familiar with the approach.

We will do a few maneuvers that provide surprising results - tension release and calming emotional rejuvenation, and I'll show you a deeper move for releasing gut tension, which alleviates bracing and stuck energy that restricts movement. I've noticed more and more questions about auto-immune issues in my community and can answer questions about that as well.

I've been spreading information about the Oct 31st Fascia Retreat I am hosting in Mexico with my friend and co-coach Mandy Inglis, and I am discovering many people with questions about *auto-immune conditions* and how working with your fascia can address pain symptoms, and causes.

Let's start with this: 70% of your immune tissue lives in your gut which means that if your digestive system and tissue (1 cell thick) is compromised, it will react to harmful substances entering into your bloodstream and your body will react.

This means that caring for your gut and digestive system is primary.

Your fascia envelopes your gut, so what you do to your fascia, you do to your gut.

As a fascial maneuvers coach - I guide you into not only moving your fascia (which moves your gut for digestion), but also caring for your inside tissues so that they can return to their original healthy state (they are endlessly trying to do this whether you are helping or not).

To begin to help your body - these are three entirely uncomplicated, inexpensive, and non-time-consuming things you can do.

1. Move your body: come and do fascial maneuvers with me on Zoom https://yorku.zoom.us/j/98914818276 (7amET daily) or in person (in Toronto). Ask me to show you these two great movements you can do on your own for autoimmune conditions:

a) the squat, which opens up the pelvic floor, allows the gut to expand, releasing tension coming from the chest and diaphragm.
b) the psoas stretch, which unblocks the valve between your large and small intestines.

2. Mineralization: most of us are mineral deficient given the processing of our water (bottled and tap, chlorine, heavy metals), the quality of our food, and the processing substances in prepared food.
**Add food grade diatomaceous earth (see photo) to your water (with lemon) to your morning routine (costs cents/day). Irish sea moss is also a great option. They both give you minerals in a natural way, and DE rids the gut of bothersome substances (including heavy metals).

3. Hydration: drink moderate amounts of water -- if you are mineralizing, you only need moderate amounts of water to hydrate. Over-watering your body with non-mineralized water can drown out minerals you DO ingest.

Ask questions if you have them and come and move with me - you'll be surprised at how you feel.

You handled everything, kept things moving, and somewhere along the way, you stopped really paying attention to yourself.

Now your body is getting louder.
The tension doesn’t fully go away.
You feel tight, tired, or off, even when you’re doing everything right, the same patterns keep showing up.

This is the point where pushing through stops working, and something deeper has to change.

Fascia is the system that holds your body together, and it is where these patterns live, shaped by years of stress, pressure, and repetition.

This is not about managing tension.
It’s about understanding how your body got here and learning how to unwind it.

You don’t leave with more to do.
You leave with a different relationship to your body, and the ability to work with it in real time.
Instead of repeating your past, you begin to rewire your system as you remember your future.
