Date: we meet on the second Wednesday of each month (I'll post a calendar with the *tentative* books we've selected!)

Time: 8pm

Where: On Zoom (for now...)

Cost: We are asking for $15 per month, and you can subscribe for 3 or 6 months at a time. All proceeds will be donated to the amazing Red Door Shelter. We know this book club will bring great energy into our lives, and we wanted to pass that on to other women in our community.

I recently read this book. "Three Women" by Lisa Taddeo.
It was incredible.
It was raw.
It was a book I underlined a lot. (and I haven't done that in a while).
It was a book I devoured whole but also wanted to eat in little bits.
If you haven't read it I would highly suggest you add it to your reading list, it is a necessary book.
This book is about women and desire, how we desire, what we desire and how we, as women, lack the capacity to seek the mirror of our own desires within ourselves and are always seeking for the mirror elsewhere, in a man, with his approving or disapproving gaze, with his wants and desires, which usually, and most often, come first.

It made me revisit a topic I always discuss with clients and with myself, a topic that is so very important within our s*xuality, as women, within the development of our Erotic Selves, and yet, and yet... we don't even consider it. The topic is the origin and evolution of our desires, how they come to be and how they transform (if they are allowed to transform) and why...
In Most of the work I do I see women's desires being absolutely thwarted by what their partners want, what they need and demand. The other comes first. And because the other comes first, then you materialize, you accommodate yourself to be what it is THEY desire, without pausing to question what it is you want and need.
