One of my favorite parts of this work is watching people realize they don’t need to “push through” everything.

Sometimes healing looks less like forcing change and more like finally feeling safe enough to slow down.

A lot of people come into yoga therapy thinking they need to be more flexible, calmer, or “better at relaxing.”

Most of the time, their nervous system is just exhausted.

And when the body starts feeling supported instead of pushed, things begin to shift.

I’ve officially reopened a limited number of yoga therapy sessions and class spaces for May.

These sessions are designed for people who are:
• overwhelmed or burnt out
• carrying stress in the body
• navigating anxiety, grief, or emotional exhaustion
• looking for a gentler, more therapeutic approach

Sessions may include:
• therapeutic movement
• breath regulation
• nervous system support
• relaxation and mindfulness practices

I’m intentionally keeping my schedule small right now so I can stay present and balanced in both my work and home life.

If you’re interested in working together, send me a message and we can chat about what support would feel best for you.

After taking some time away, I’m feeling really grateful to be returning to teaching and offering sessions again.

One thing I keep coming back to is how much people are carrying right now — physically, mentally, emotionally — often without realizing how deeply it’s sitting in the body.

My goal with this work has never been performance or perfection.

It’s creating spaces where people can slow down, breathe, reconnect, and feel supported.

Join me on Thursdays Kootenay Sol Yoga in Castlegar and over the next few weeks I’ll be reopening:
• 1:1 yoga therapy sessions
• gentle nervous system-focused classes
• small group offerings

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, disconnected, or like your body just can’t fully relax, you’re not alone.

I’m excited to reconnect with this community again 🤍

I’ve been taking some time away, and it’s given me a chance to slow down and really notice how much our bodies carry without us realizing.

Most people don’t need more intensity.
They need support learning how to feel safe in their body again.

When I’m back in a couple of weeks, I’ll be opening up:

• 1:1 yoga therapy sessions
• small group classes
• a few spots for new clients

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or just not quite like yourself, this work can help in a very real, practical way.

If you’re interested, send me a message or comment below and I’ll reach out when I’m back.

What I actually do….

A lot of people aren’t sure what yoga therapy really is.

It’s not a typical yoga class.

In a session, we might:
• slow down your breathing to calm your system
• use simple movements to release tension
• work with areas of the body holding stress
• create practices you can actually use at home

It’s gentle, but it’s not surface-level.

This work is especially helpful if you:
• feel overwhelmed or burned out
• carry tension in your body
• struggle to relax or sleep
• are going through a stressful or emotional time

I’ll be back soon and reopening 1:1 sessions and classes.

If you’ve been curious, this is a good time to reach out and ask questions.

“You’re not broken”

Most people I work with think something is wrong with them because they can’t relax.

They try:
• taking time off
• slowing down
• doing yoga classes

…and still feel tense, overwhelmed, or on edge.

What’s actually happening is your nervous system hasn’t learned how to come out of stress mode yet.

That’s not a mindset problem — it’s a body-based pattern.

This is exactly what we work with in yoga therapy.

Not pushing. Not forcing.
Just creating the conditions where your body can finally settle.

I’ll be back in a couple weeks and opening up sessions again.

If this sounds like you, send me a message and I’ll get you on the list first.

Feeling constantly overwhelmed, tense, or like your body just won’t relax… even when you try to rest?

A lot of people I work with aren’t “bad at relaxing” — their nervous system is just stuck in a state of stress.

That can look like:
• tight shoulders or jaw
• trouble sleeping
• feeling emotionally drained
• difficulty slowing down
• anxiety that doesn’t fully go away

This is where therapeutic yoga is different.

It’s not about pushing your body or keeping up in a class.
It’s about helping your system feel safe enough to actually let go.

I offer:
• Gentle, trauma-informed yoga
• Nervous system support
• 1:1 sessions and small group classes
• Options for all levels (including beginners and limited mobility)

If this resonates, you don’t need to figure it out alone.

Send me a message or comment “INFO” and I’ll reach out with details on upcoming classes and sessions.
