Connor Gehrken began service with STEPs not so long ago. He quickly identified he was interested in earning money. After becoming comfortable with some of the programming at STEPs Connor decided it was time for him to look for paid opportunities outside of STEPs. When the Truro Legion approached the Community Employment Program about a cleaning gig they had available and asked if a few of the clients from STEPs would be interested in coming to clean several times a week, it only took a little consideration and reassurance before Connor agreed to accept one of these roles. As you can see if you zoom in on the card he is holding, he is doing a remarkable job and we aren’t the only ones who think so! Great job, Connor!
