Some days remind me exactly why I do this work. ❤️🐴
Yesterday was one of those days.
In the evening, I had the privilege of facilitating a small business team whose goal was simple: have fun, connect, and strengthen their team. Earlier in the day, one of my fellow facilitators led a large corporate group. Different organizations. Different goals. The same incredible experience.
I'm continually amazed by what happens when people step away from the boardroom, put away their phones, and spend time learning alongside horses.
Horses don't care about job titles or years of experience. They respond to authenticity, clear communication, trust, patience, and leadership. They hold up a mirror that allows us to see ourselves in ways we often can't in our everyday lives.
The conversations that happen during our debriefs are always my favourite part. Participants begin connecting what happened with the horses to what happens in their workplace and in life. Words like trust, leadership, communication, negotiation, patience, collaboration, and confidence suddenly take on new meaning because they've experienced them, not just talked about them.
I'm also incredibly grateful for the amazing horses who make this work possible and for the talented facilitators I have the privilege of working alongside. Together, we create experiences that leave people seeing themselves, and each other, a little differently.
It's a reminder that the best teams aren't built in meeting rooms. They're built through shared experiences, honest conversations, and moments that challenge us to grow.
Every session is different.
Every team teaches me something.
And every horse continues to amaze me.
