This feels so weird and a little eerie… almost like I’ve lived this exact moment before.
Seven years ago, my pharmacy looked exactly like this. Empty shelves everywhere, and me trying to figure out where everything should go — basically Merchandising 101 😂
But behind the scenes, I was scared.
I had taken a huge leap of faith and genuinely didn’t know if I was going to make it. I was worried about whether enough people would walk through those doors, whether the business would survive, and yes… whether I would even be able to make my mortgage payment.
Fast forward 7 years and man… I’m not just surviving. I’m thriving.
And I know exactly why.
So many of you aren’t just patients or customers anymore. You have become my biggest supporters and my brand ambassadors. You recommend us to your friends and family, you tell people about us, and you have supported this little independent pharmacy in ways I could never have imagined when I first opened those doors.
The kindness, trust and support this community has shown me over the past seven years is something I will never take for granted.
And now, seven years later, I’m taking another leap of faith.
We’re doing a pretty major renovation and taking the next step with family doctors and our medical clinic. There are a lot of moving pieces, a lot of empty shelves again… but this time it feels different.
I’m still nervous — but I’m not the guy standing in an empty pharmacy wondering if he’s going to be able to make his mortgage payment anymore. 🙂
And a huge part of that is because of all of you.
🚧 IMPORTANT RENOVATION UPDATE 🚧
To allow us to get some of the major renovation work done safely and as quickly as possible, Trail Capital Pharmacy will be CLOSED this Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
We will reopen Tuesday with our regular hours.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Over the next week or two, things may also look a little messy while the renovations continue, so please bear with us!
More importantly, I wanted to take this strange little full-circle moment to simply say thank you.
Thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for supporting us.
Thank you for telling your friends and family about us.
And thank you for helping turn a very scared pharmacist with a bunch of empty shelves into what Trail Capital Pharmacy is today.
I am incredibly grateful. ❤️
Now… time for Merchandising 101: Round 2. 😂
