The practices are based on ancient Chinese philosophy and promote mental and physical health, vitality and well-being. The practices of Qigong form the early roots of Chinese medicine and remain the basis of traditional Chinese

There are now many millions of people practicing Qigong in China and growing numbers throughout the world who achieve general health, relieve stress, enhance the immune system, grow in spirituality and develop inner joy and happiness. This variation in development can be compared to the many ways that the piano is played since the development of that musical instrument. At Vitality Yoga and Lifestyle Boutique, we practice a number of forms such as 6 healing sounds, Yi Chin Ching, 5 animal frolics, eight brocades, however we also do meditation, simple qigong exercises and practice various self healing methods. The basic components of any form of Qigong are:

• Natural body posture for balance and concentration
• Breath regulation practice for relaxation and self awareness
• Use of focused attention and intention
• Dynamic movement to stimulate energy flows and body flexibility
• Mediation for purposeful relaxation
• Self-administered massage to generate natural healing
