Some encounters stay with you long after they’re over.

The first time I watched whales moving through the ocean, I felt something I still struggle to explain. It wasn’t excitement or even joy. It was a feeling of immense love, presence, and intelligence. As if, for a moment, the noise of the world became quiet and I could hear a deeper frequency beneath it all.

The women in this video describe it beautifully.

Perhaps that is why I feel so called to Tonga. Not simply to see whales, but to be in their presence. To slow down enough to listen. To remember that there is a rhythm in nature far older, wiser, and more compassionate than the pace at which most of us live.

Sometimes healing isn’t something we do.

Sometimes it is something we remember.

One of my favourite things about travelling is discovering how different cultures create incredible meals from simple, fresh ingredients.

This grilled fish with fresh mango salsa is a perfect example.

Light, colourful, nourishing, and bursting with flavour, it’s the kind of meal that feels like a celebration of summer.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes the most memorable dishes come from a handful of fresh ingredients prepared with care.

This recipe is featured in The Alchemy of Flavour, my collection of 108 recipes inspired by wellness, travel, and the joy of sharing good food.

Would you try this one?

This conversation isn’t really about men versus women. It’s about awareness.

When we begin to recognize the systems, beliefs, and cultural patterns that have shaped our relationships for generations, it can feel uncomfortable. But awareness is often the first step toward healing.

Health is not only physical. It’s emotional, relational, and societal. The healthier we become as individuals, the more capable we are of creating relationships built on respect, equality, compassion, and genuine connection.
Growth begins when we are willing to look honestly at the world around us—and at ourselves.

Yoga has given me so much over the years—healing, connection, community, and a deeper understanding of myself.

But like any human system, it is not immune to power, ego, money, or abuse. Conversations like these can be uncomfortable, yet they are important. We can honour the teachings while also holding teachers and institutions accountable.

True yoga isn’t about putting anyone on a pedestal. It’s about awareness, integrity, compassion, and the courage to see things as they are.

May we continue to learn, question, and practice with open eyes and open hearts.

For years, I thought neck pain and migraines were simply something I would have to live with.

What surprised me most wasn’t that the pain eventually improved. It was realizing how much tension I had been carrying without even knowing it.

I see the same thing in my clients all the time.

People become so accustomed to stress, tight shoulders, jaw tension, headaches, poor sleep, and feeling exhausted that it starts to feel normal.

But it isn’t.

Your body was never designed to live in a constant state of tension.

One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is the opportunity to slow down, feel supported, and remember what relaxation actually feels like.

🌊

When was the last time you felt completely relaxed?

Seriously; chillin with the chickens couldn’t get any better now that they have discovered the hammocks. I had to get Louise one of her own! She still likes to come and cuddle by my shoulder.

For months, I’ve been searching for a retreat centre that feels aligned with everything I want to share.

A place where we can begin our mornings with yoga, spend our afternoons painting, enjoy nourishing meals, connect with wonderful people, and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.

When I discovered Mar de Jade, something just felt right.

Nestled between the jungle and the Pacific Ocean, it offers the perfect blend of nature, wellness, creativity, and community.

I’m so excited to begin creating this retreat experience and to share the journey with you.

Would a week of yoga, painting, ocean air, delicious food, and meaningful connection call to you?

Tell me what part sounds most appealing. 💙.

A gentle reminder:

You don’t have to force everything.

Some things are built through effort.
Some things arrive through grace.

Keep caring for yourself.
Keep following what lights you up.
Keep saying yes to what feels true.

The rest has a way of unfolding when the time is right. 💙
