I recently read The Blue Zones: Secrets for Living Longer by Dan Buettner and was fascinated by what he found in five regions of the world where people routinely live into their 90s and beyond—often reaching 100 years of age while remaining active, engaged, and connected.
What struck me most was that longevity isn't simply about genetics. It's about how people live each day: their relationships, sense of purpose, food, movement, community, and outlook on life.
In my latest article, I share some of the lessons from this inspiring book and reflect on what we can learn from these remarkable communities.
