JUSU IS COMING BACK IN MAY 2027. 🇨🇦🌱

Jusu began in Victoria in 2014 with a commitment to creating better, plant-powered wellness products.

The brand grew across Canada, reached retailers including Whole Foods, and later became part of a publicly traded company valued at more than US$80 million.

Then Jusu lost momentum.

Now, a new chapter is beginning.

Canadian entrepreneur Al Vigier has acquired Jusu as its new owner and investor. His goal is to rebuild Jusu as a real, durable company with excellent products, reliable operations, national distribution and a professional management team.

Al will focus on strategy, investment, partnerships and building the company. An experienced operator and management team will be recruited to oversee its daily operations.

We were recently pleased to meet with the Purity Life team in Vancouver to plan Jusu’s return to Canadian stores.

The initial focus will be British Columbia and Ontario, followed by Alberta, Quebec and other markets as we rebuild Jusu’s national presence.

Work is already underway:

🌱 Reviewing products and ingredients
📦 Finalizing bottles, packaging and suppliers
🇨🇦 Preparing English and Quebec French labels
🛍️ Planning testers and retail demonstrations
🚚 Rebuilding national distribution
👥 Recruiting the operating team

May 2027 is our target.

Rebuilding a company takes more than announcing a comeback. It requires the right products, people, partners and operating discipline.

We are doing the work.

Jusu is coming back.

We are working toward relaunching Jusu in May 2027 with a new Canadian-made skincare collection and a completely refreshed brand.

The new direction is modern, simple and unisex, with premium products at accessible prices. The initial collection will focus on the essentials people actually use, including cleansing, hydration and brightening.

We are currently finalizing the formulas, packaging, pricing and retail launch plan. I have attached some images from the new branding concept.

A proud moment for our founder.

Al Vigier, who started Jusu in 2017 and reacquired the brand earlier this year, has just been named to the 2026 Vancouver50. Scale Up Canada's jury picks fifty Vancouver companies each year they believe will scale globally. The recognition is for Caseway, the legal AI company Al Vigier is also building.

Two companies, one founder, the same instinct: build things that actually help people. One brings plant-based wellness into more homes. The other gives people locked out of the legal system a way in.

Congrats Al.

Caseway has been named to the 2026 Vancouver50 by Scale Up Canada, joining Hydra Energy, MetaOptima and other top BC scaleups.

Good people, good food, golden hour over the water 🌅
Our founder Al hosted a gathering at his place in North Van this weekend. Founders, builders, and friends of the brand came together for an afternoon of great conversation and way too much food.

Jusu is back under original ownership, and community has always been at the heart of what we do. If you're a Jusu fan, a local builder, or just someone doing cool things in Vancouver, we'd love to connect.

We ran Jusu through the Think Dirty app.

We only saw the older line. But it was the same result... Clean.

A lot of brands “get clean” when it becomes trendy. But then they reformulate, rebrand, and hope nobody checks what was in their products before (and most of the time people just forget.)

It's a great way to scam your customers, and increase your profit margins.

But no thank you.

Jusu was built clean from the start, and it’s staying that way.

We want to be transparent about something we saw while testing one of our formulas.

Some of the ingredients in this formula are there to deeply nourish and support the skin, including rose water, aloe, shea butter, mango butter, evening primrose, argan, avocado, and borage.

These are included to help moisturize, soften, and support the skin barrier. We also use ingredients like lactobacillus ferment and vitamin E for preservation support and antioxidant benefits.

At the same time, the formula also includes botanical extracts and essential oils such as lavender, rosemary, citrus, neroli, jasmine, frankincense, fennel, litsea cubeba, and others.

These can contribute to the overall sensory experience and product identity, but on more reactive skin they can also increase the chance of visible redness or irritation.

So this raises a real formulation question for us.

Do we keep these ingredients because they add character, scent, and a more botanical experience?

Or do we remove some of them to make the product gentler, simpler, and better suited for sensitive facial skin?

We are seriously reviewing that now, and we would genuinely like your input.

Would you rather see us keep the richer botanical profile, or strip back some of the more potentially irritating ingredients to create a calmer formula?

We ran Jusu through the Yuka “clean checker” app.

Result: Excellant rating!

Most products that claim to be clean don’t hold up when you run them through independent scanners. They rely on marketing language, not ingredient transparency.

-Simple, recognizable ingredients
-No unnecessary additives
-Formulations that pass third-party scrutiny

This is what clean skincare should look like when you strip away the branding.

If you’re using Yuka (or any ingredient scanner), run your current products through it.

Then compare.

Jusu isn’t built to sound clean. It’s built to actually be clean.
