We are a volunteer-based active, growing organization committed to developing programs and services to meet the needs of people living with lupus and their families. As registered charity we fully rely on donations and grants, and are thankful for the hard work of dedicated volunteers, who greatly aid in carrying out the mandates of our society. Our Mission is:

To support

advances in research and treatments; to create public awareness; to provide education and support to people affected by lupus. Our Vision is:

- That early diagnosis and optimal treatment will be available to everyone with lupus
- That the public at large will be aware of lupus
- To ensure community based support networks and services

The BC Lupus Executive Director, Ivana, will be joining our Wednesday support group meeting at 6:30. She will be talking to our group about the May 10th BC Lupus Society Symposium. At present they have confirmed a handful of engaging and knowledgeable speakers! She would also like to encourage people affected by lupus to relay their experiences, the care they are receiving, and how the research community and the BC Lupus Society could be helpful.

Our attendance will reflect the importance for our lupus group and the need for the Lupus Society to continue to support us, our journeys and our meetings.
