Can we talk about the SIBO rabbit hole for a second? Because I learned the hard lesson of what happens when you only focus on SIBO (hint: you spend a lot of money to end up back at square one).
When you are desperate to find the root cause of your bloating (because nobody else is giving you answers), it’s SO exciting to learn about SIBO. It feels like you finally have an answer and more importantly: a path forward.
But testing for and addressing SIBO is only the starting point. There are likely MANY reasons why you tend to bloat so much, and how you ended up with SIBO in the first place (because it doesn’t just happen).
These are a few- yes, a few- of the more common reasons for bloating that I see in my nutrition practice.
