OLTRE LE ASPETTATIVE!
Feeling “at home” is a sensation that has nothing to do with “being physically in a specific place.” So, on Sunday, April 12, at the invitation of the Italian-Canadian Writers’ Association, I finally performed with and for the Toronto-based artist Joseph Maviglia, and I loved engaging the audience in the way I like to. I know this because things done well, organized with passion and thoughtfulness, always yield valuable results. Thank you to everyone, first and foremost to Anna Foschi, my mentor and gracious hostess for the event at the “Il Centro” Italian Cultural Centre art gallery, and then to the entire audience, who turned out in such large numbers that we had to bring in extra chairs to accommodate them. Maviglia truly possesses a charisma
I hadn’t known before, and I owe him a joint performance of rare intensity, rhythm, and engagement. We wrapped up in about an hour and a half, and it was fantastic to meet new, interesting people who were interested in the important issues, people who are part of the generation of Dylan, Reed, Iggy Pop, and Springsteen.
I'll post some more photos, thanks for the credits
