A little more about why I personally prefer numbing spray over numbing cream 👀
From my experience, numbing cream usually only lasts around 2–3 hours. For a full-day tattoo, sometimes it already starts wearing off before we even get very far into the tattoo 🥲
Another big thing for me as an artist is the skin. Most numbing creams can change the texture of the skin and make it harder to work with.
The numbing sprays from The Solution Product Line that I’ve tried haven’t given me that same issue. I can use them during the session after the outline, before we move into shading and packing, which makes a lot more sense for the way I work.
Of course, everyone’s skin and pain tolerance is different, and numbing isn’t for everyone. But after experiencing it myself as a client, I’m definitely more open to anything that can make those long tattoo days a little easier 🖤
