Home and grateful for the day to just reflect and be 💖
Now that the race is all done, I'm absorbing everything that led up to it. My reality of the past 6-ish months and the months to come is that life is busy. Like we are real busy lol I did what I could to get me to this race, I had the big goal of a sub 2 hour, and then goal B (running without pain or injury), and C (under 2:10). But! now that im all done, I am absolutely beyond happy and completely, soulfully content with the fact that the work I put in has rehabed my body back to a strong, healthy foundation. I trained with a coach, I seen my RMT regularly, I prioritized yoga and strength and flexibility days, I lifted weights, and ran (of course). Was everything perfect, absolutely not, but that little bit, every single day over time still brought me success. Do I have more work to do? 💯 yes, but this feels like such an amazing place to start with to keep workint towards plan A, and ensuring plan B continues to be a priority. Might even flip plan B to plan A.. seems like the proper order to go with to achieve a quicker and stronger finish line result.
Every start line, race, and finish line has its own story and lesson. Whatever goal you're working towards, don't give up, be aware that at times you're gunna have to dig deep, you're gunna have to put your head down and tell yourself to lock in, but just as everything does, 'this too shall pass', and then you keep going. Don't be afraid to work hard, keep self-sabotaging thoughts close enough that you recognize them when they get too loud, and just do you. If there is something you want, and you have to work hard for it, its probably worth it.
If you read it all up to this point, you're awesome 💕
Keep going my friends 🪶✨️👊
