What happens before you settle into the IV chair? 💧

A lot happens behind the scenes before an IV is ready to go.

From preparing the room and organizing supplies to setting up the IV equipment — every detail matters.

We use professional medical equipment and supplies sourced from trusted healthcare suppliers, and everything is prepared with safety, cleanliness and attention to detail in mind.

Then comes your part: sit back, get comfortable, and relax😊

Ever wondered what IV iron looks like?

This is Monoferric being added to a normal saline bag before an iron infusion.

That deep brown colour? That’s the iron.

IV iron may be prescribed for patients with iron deficiency when oral iron isn’t appropriate, isn’t tolerated, or hasn’t been enough.

At IMed Centre, iron infusions are provided after assessment and with a prescription, with appropriate monitoring throughout the treatment.

Sometimes medicine is pretty fascinating to watch.

Would you know how to use an EpiPen in an emergency?

Anaphylaxis can happen quickly, and knowing what to do before an emergency happens matters.

A quick refresher on how to use an epinephrine auto-injector — because in an emergency, every second counts.

Oxidative stress - we hear the term often, but what does it actually mean?

Our bodies naturally produce free radicals, and they also have antioxidant systems that help keep them in balance. The problem begins when that balance shifts and free radicals exceed the body’s antioxidant defenses.

Over time, oxidative stress can contribute to cellular damage and is associated with aging and a number of chronic health conditions.

The good news? Many everyday factors matter - nutrition, sleep, stress, physical activity, smoking, alcohol, and environmental exposures all play a role.

Antioxidants such as glutathione, vitamin C, vitamin E and selenium are part of the body’s defense against oxidative damage.

At IMed Centre, lifestyle and nutrition always come first. When appropriate, additional support such as IV therapy with Vitamin C and Glutathione may be considered following an individual health assessment.

Swipe through to learn what oxidative stress is, what increases it, and how your body protects itself.

Faster isn’t always better — especially with IV therapy.

We know your time matters, but when it comes to an IV infusion, the rate isn’t something we rush.

Different IV formulations have different recommended administration times. Infusing too quickly may increase the chance of discomfort, vein irritation, or other infusion-related reactions.

That’s why, your infusion rate is based on the treatment you’re receiving, your individual assessment, and how well you’re tolerating the infusion.

And yes — sometimes we may slow it down even more.
Speed? Only when appropriate-)

Every IV treatment starts with an assessment, so we can choose the option that makes sense for you✨

Looking for a gift that’s a little different? 🤍

Yesterday, one of our clients came in to redeem a gift card she had received, and it was a great reminder that wellness can be one of the most meaningful gifts.

Instead of another item that may end up on a shelf, consider giving someone the opportunity to relax, recharge, and invest in their well-being.

Our gift cards can be used toward a variety of services-)

Because sometimes the best gift isn’t another thing—it’s taking time to feel you best.
