Lip filler: what it can and can't fix.

What it CAN do: restore lost volume, soften mild asymmetry, define your border, bring back a natural plumpness that's faded over time.

What it CAN'T do: fully erase deep smoker's lines on its own, correct significant asymmetry from bone structure, fix a "gummy smile" (that's actually a Botox treatment), or pause the aging process altogether.

The best results come from realistic expectations โ€” not a screenshot from someone else's face.

Which one of these did you not know? ๐Ÿ‘‡

What "overdone" actually looks like โ€” and how to avoid it.

It's not always obvious. Sometimes it's not "a lot," it's just a little too much in the wrong place:

Skin that looks stretched instead of supported. A face that looks the same from every angle. Expression that doesn't quite match emotion. Features that no longer look proportional to the rest of the face.

This isn't about judging anyone's choices โ€” it's about helping you walk into any appointment informed enough to ask the right questions and advocate for yourself.

Ask your injector what they're preserving, not just what they're adding. You can always add more later. You can't easily take it back.

Have you ever noticed one of these signs and not known what to call it? ๐Ÿ‘‡

That's the thing about this job โ€” the hardest part isn't injecting. It's knowing when to say:

"I don't think you need that."
"Let's start slowly."
"You're allowed to take your time."
"You don't have to decide today."

Sometimes the most honest thing I can do is talk you out of the treatment you walked in asking for. And sometimes, it's just telling you โ€” oh, you look stunning today. Not everything in this chair is about what we're adding.

Questions are always welcome here. That's the whole point.

3 Botox mistakes that can actually age you:

Freezing your forehead completely โ€” zero movement can pull your brows down and read as heavy, not youthful.
Only treating the upper face โ€” a smooth forehead next to an untouched lower face and neck doesn't match.
Never adjusting your plan as your face changes โ€” what worked at 32 isn't automatically right at 42.

Botox done well doesn't erase movement. It softens it. You should still be able to look surprised, concerned, and happy โ€” just without the lines settling in for good.

The goal was never "frozen." It was always "rested."

Which one of these surprised you? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Unpopular opinion: some of the most beautiful results take the longest to notice.

Not every treatment is meant to announce itself. The best ones are the quiet kind โ€” the ones where people just say "you look great," and can't quite explain why.

I ask myself three questions before every treatment plan:

Will you still look like YOU? Do you really need this? Are we treating the right concern?

If the answer to any of those is no, we don't do it. Even if it's what you originally asked for. My job isn't to say yes to every request โ€” it's to protect the way your face ages.

Which of these three questions do you wish more injectors asked? ๐Ÿ‘‡

You slept 8 hours. You drank your water. So why does your reflection still say "exhausted"? Sometimes it's not sleep โ€” it's shadowing, volume loss, or muscle tension that makes a well-rested face read as tired. Here's what's actually going on.

You only know 50% of what Botox can do.

Most people think Botox = forehead lines. That's only half the story. Here's the other half:

It can ease jaw tension, clenching, and even TMJ pain. It can reduce excessive sweating. It can help prevent chronic migraines โ€” it's FDA-approved for this. It can soften a "gummy smile." It can smooth vertical neck bands.

Botox was never just about lines on your forehead. It's a tool โ€” and it works best when it's used for the right job.

Which of these surprised you the most? ๐Ÿ‘‡

First time getting Botox, Filler, or Sculptra? Here's what you should actually be looking for:

A treatment plan built around your concern โ€” not a menu โ€” starting conservative so you can always add more later. Realistic expectations about timelines (Botox settles in about 2 weeks, Sculptra builds gradually over months, filler is the fastest but should still look soft). Clarity on what each treatment actually does, and room to ask as many questions as you need.

And most of all โ€” a result that still looks like you. Rested. Refreshed. Recognizable.

If you're considering your first treatment, what's the question you're most nervous to ask? ๐Ÿ‘‡
