Hello!
My name is Mandy Arora — Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and the therapist behind Metta Counselling at The Health Nest. I've spent the last twenty years holding space for people in some of the hardest seasons of their lives. Twenty years walking with families through the ordinary and extraordinary — behavioural struggles, divorce, grief, loss, and trauma.
My path has moved me through family support, child and youth counselling, mental health and substance use work, and the slow, patient accompaniment of survivors of domestic violence and women navigating postpartum depression and birth trauma.
Therapy, at its best, is where you are fully met. Not fixed, not analyzed — but met.
I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Counselling, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Child Development. Clinically, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy — the evidence-based workhorses of modern mental health care — and weave them with meditation, mindfulness, and yoga-informed practice. We start with your story — what brought you here, what you've already tried, what you hope for. No pressure to have it all worked out. That's my job.
Outside of sessions, you'll find me somewhere quiet-reading, on the yoga mat, on the lake, or spending quality time with the people I love the most. I believe therapists should practice what they teach, and that a steady nervous system is the most important tool I bring into the room.
If you’ve been thinking about counselling, feel free to reach out to me at The Health Nest or https://thehealthnest.ca/practitioners/mandy-arora/ to book a free 15-minute consultation.
