This is Nanaimo’s Enhanced Harm Reduction (EHR) team, Nurse Eryn (Op**te Agonist Therapy), Nurse Amber (EHR), and Erin (Program Manager) out in Nanaimo talking to people, spreading the word about the work we do and handing out harm reduction supplies!

Staff Feature: Adam Janveaux – Adam is our newest employee working as the current Indigenous wellness coordinator, previously a practicum student with AVI. Adam recently completed the Crisis Response and Mental Health Worker Certificate Program at Discovery Community College. He brings deep empathy, strong connection skills, and lived experience that strengthens our team.

Birdie Frost – Birdie is the newest (and furriest) member of the CR Harm Reduction family! She owns Afton Frost, the current Harm Reduction support, and has quickly become a team favorite. Birdie provides “compression therapy” and endless affection to staff and participants alike—and has unofficially adopted Adam as her own.
