If you’re new to tallow soap, tallow has been used in traditional skincare for generations. It is rich in skin nourishing fats and has a composition that closely resembles the lipids naturally found in our skin, making it a simple option for cleansing without leaving skin feeling overly stripped or dry. 🌿✨

What makes Genesis even more special to us is that it’s a Vancouver Island family business, run by the lovely husband and wife duo, Brie and Jacob.

Their tallow is sourced from grass fed, grass finished cattle from local farms on Vancouver Island and BC, and their products are made in small batches with a focus on simple, natural ingredients. 💚

Looking for a simple, non toxic play dough recipe that you can actually feel good about your kids playing with? 🙋‍♀️💛

We tested about half a dozen versions before finally landing on this one, because apparently we take play dough very seriously around here 😂

Our requirements were pretty simple. The ingredients had to be edible because, let’s face it, someone is going to taste it. It had to be easy to make because if it ain’t easy, it ain’t happening. And everything had to be ingredients we could easily find.

This recipe checked all the boxes 🙌

The kids love helping make it almost as much as they love playing with it, and somehow it usually buys us at least 10 minutes of quiet… which may actually be the biggest wellness benefit of all 😂

Our favourite part is seeing what they come up with. Fire trucks, sushi, animals and things we’re still not entirely sure what they are 😆 Their imaginations are endless.

Carina Organics formulates and hand makes its products on Vancouver’s North Shore, using plant, vegetable, and fruit extracts along with thoughtfully selected natural ingredients. 🤎
